Google Toolbar killed Autocomplete

I recently had to install Google Toolbar for a work related issue (wouldn’t normally entertain the idea.)  I run Firefox 3.6.3 and noticed shortly after the autocomplete feature of Firefox had stopped working.

Needless to say once I’d completed the Toolbar related work it was hastily uninstalled and autocomplete resumed working normally.

Asteroids Record Broken

I have just read at The Telegraph that the previous record high score for Asteroids set by 15-year-old Scott Safran in 1982 has recently been broken.

I had no idea that such records still existed and am now left wondering whether similar records exist for Pac Man, Frogger, Space Invaders, Defender etc.

I feel some research is needed.

Am now thinking of all those hours hiding from the sun in the cellar of the Hotel Belvedere, Crete, 1982 playing Space Invaders and Galaxy Quest.

Not to mention wreaking havoc with ‘holiday friend’ Andrew throughout the hotel, placing large chairs in lifts, covering roof mounted floodlights with boards and insisting the bar staff play my newly acquired Duran Duran Rio album on their cassette player.

iPhone – E-mail problems

Out of the blue my iPhone mail app kept either crashing or simply exiting back to the home screen 2-3 seconds after starting.  Unable therefore to read or send mail I logged in via my MacBook to my Mobile Me account assuming some errant e-mail was causing problems.

I deleted some spam and some older messages and tried again but still no luck.  I then clicked on the trash folder and selected Empty Folder from the drop down action menu.  This did the trick and everything now appears to be fine.
